2 Day Beginner Flyfishing School

We look forward to introducing you to one of greatest pursuits and passions you will ever experience, the art of Fly Fishing! Under the watchful eye of Brian Barnard, a professional, Federation of Fly Fishers licensed instructor, you will spend two fantastic days at a private fishing club. Students attending the two day class have the distinct advantage of learning all about this great sport and do so at a leisurely pace. The 2-Day school is designed for beginning anglers and covers a wide range of topics, including the following: Casting TechniquesGear SelectionKnotsReading WaterEntomologyBelly Boat FishingFishing from a KayakFly Selection and PresentationHooking, Fighting, and Releasing Fish The 2 Day school begins with breakfast on day 1 followed by a full day of education and lots of fishing. The evenings are spend in the comfort of the main lodge with guest accommodations including double occupancy rooms, full service dining room, game room, satellite television, and much more. For those that still have some arm strength left, a little night fishing for huge bass with surface flies is something to take advantage of! Day 2 is spent fishing from belly boats, jon boats, and working with Brian to perfect the skills from the day before. The schools are considered all-inclusive with the following items includes; 5 Meals, top quality fly fishing equipment including flies and leaders, belly boats, jon boat, lodging, and all instruction.
