Kentucky Dove Shoot
Our Price: $100.00
September 6, 2008 1pm arrival time (no earlier)
This is an annual event that takes place in the beginning of September. We will post specifics as we get closer to the 2008 season. The 2007 shoot was a great success. The information below was for the 2007 shoot and it might change for the 2008 season.
This years D&H Dove Shoot will be located on a private farm in beautiful Grant County, Kentucky, approximately 55 minutes from Cincinnati. The farm is family run and has never been commercially hunted. It is located in Kentucky's scenic Bluegrass land. The farm's rolling hills and abundant crops grown in fertile soil that are surrounded by hardwood forests are perfect habitat for the Mourning Dove.
We will be hunting fields loaded with food plots or native feeding areas containing foxtail, sumac, ragweed and the like. The farm also has available really nice roosting sites. There are a number of power lines in the area and a lot of big old trees that the dove love to use as sitting points before making their run into the fields. This year we have planted double the amount of food plots and the birds are flying.
This is a wild bird shoot, so there are no guarantees as to the number of birds that will be present. We are doing everything we can to ensure a lot of great food plots and ideal habitat to attract and hold birds.

"Neil, you got the lucky spot. I know it can't be your shootin' skills. Let me in there!"
"Hey Alan, you got any shells? How 'bout a handful?"
